Description
Background The term "Brain Drain", often known as "human capital flight", is a nearly half-century-old phenomenon by which highly skilled professionals and academics seek higher paying job opportunities in other countries. NationMaster-Encyclopedia (n.d.) defines a brain drain or human capital flight as an emigration of trained and talented individuals ("human capital") to other nations or jurisdictions, due to conflicts, lack of opportunity, health hazards where they are living or other reasons.
